Veronica LaChance,

Executive Director

Veronica has been with the Family Support Council of Douglas County since 2011. Veronica started as a monitor for the Supervised Visitation program and worked her way through various programs to include Parenting and Advocacy, thus proving her sincere commitment and drive for serving families. She graduated from California State University with a Bachelors in Social and Behavioral Sciences. Veronica has a passion for helping others and being a voice for those who may not have one. Her leadership is exceptional and she continues to elevate the mission of FSC every single day through her mission driven work.

Macy Haverda,

Director of Finance & Administration

Macy is a demonstrably reliable and supportive Family Support Council team member. Though newest to our team, her extensive history in finance has allowed her to hit the ground running. We are so thrilled to have her in this role. In addition to our agency, she also serves as the President of Wild West Access Fund of Nevada.

Jenn Forzani,

Program Director, Family Services

Jenn is a 5th generation Nevadan who has served the Family Support Council for over 12 years. She was born and raised in the Carson Valley where she still lives with her husband and two children. Jenn's dedication to her community and her family is what drives her passion to provide services that promote healthy families here in Douglas County.

Dan Upton,

Program Director, Jessie’s Ranch

Dan has been with The Family Support Council for over five years. He has been serving the developmentally disabled community for over 35 years. Dan is excited to have had the opportunity to start a supportive service for adults in Douglas County and hopes to expand its services. He brings to the team a strong dedication to serving the population of Jessie’s Ranch and a commitment to growth.

Donna Buddington,

Program Director, Family Therapy

Donna has worked at FSC for the past eight years and been involved in the field of Domestic violence since 1995. Donna earned an MA from UNR in Counseling and Education Psychology in 1991, and an MFT license in 2001. Over the years, she studied extensively at the Esalen Institute in Gestalt Awareness, EMDR, Clinical Hypnosis, and the Enneagram. Donna’s continued work specializes in trauma, and she feels privileged to help survivors learn to activate healing powers within themselves and move past traumatic stress injuries and unlock their own potentiality.

Jane Besaw,

Quality Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) and Clinical Professional Counselor Intern

Jane was born and raised outside of Cleveland in Mentor, Ohio which is on the shores of Lake Erie. She moved to Gardnerville, Nevada in 2005 when accepted a Special Education job in the area. Jane started with the Family Support Council as a Counselor Intern in 2017. Jane loves giving to others and has found that the Family Support Council is a valuable agency to the community in which they can grow and serve.
